The force is strong with this one...

Today Trevor is 4 months old! He's growing so fast! He's already teething and you can see two little bottom teeth peeking through.

But I found a fun site called photofunia . I actually found it while browsing comments on this baby website which talks about a baby's development each month. Someone posted a slideshow using pics from photofunia and I decided to check it out. Pretty cool! I have a slideshow coming soon =).

Been busy...

I haven't had much time to write here in the last couple of weeks. We went up to Seattle on the 16th for Sharon's Bachelorette party and stayed the rest of the week for Sharon's wedding on the 23rd.

To the left is a picture of Trevor on the day of Sharon's wedding.

Sharon's wedding was nice! It was great seeing friends and family all together again, many whom I hadn't seen in a while. The Reception place, Echo Falls Golf Club, was very nice, especially since it was a nice day out. Sharon and Tim lucked out with the rain because it rained almost everyday before that Saturday.

We did a scavenger hunt that day which was pretty fun! We were given clues and had to take pictures of certain things in Seattle. It was cool since our team won :). Here are some pics:

Trevor is smiling a lot more now. He is a totally different baby from two weeks ago. He doesn't cry as much and has started talking. He's such a good baby now. =)
He is 13 weeks old and 14 weeks old in these pictures.

Nathan's 28th Birthday

Today is Nathan's 28th birthday, he's still a young-un lol. I baked him a cake. It was pretty easy since I just used most of the stuff I had used for making the cupcake pops.
I think it turned out well.


Nathan was surpised on how well I did the lettering. I used the leftover cream cheese frosting and put it in a sandwich bag and went from there. I surprised myself too hehe. The Trader Joe's Vanilla Cake sure tastes good!

It sucks that Nathan has to work tonight. Earlier today we went to GoGo Mongolian Grill. Nathan had his free birthday meal! It's a pretty good Mongolian place. I like how they have pre-made sauces and good quality meat. Too bad we couldn't go to Todai though, sushi would've been good.

After dinner we went to Costco and got the wine for Sharon and Tim for their wedding. The lady at the door who checks the receipt made a good catch. She noticed that they only charged us for one of the bottles of the Yellowtail Chardonnay and not the other 15. It would've been nice to get away with to save them $135. We didn't even realize until the lady said something. Nice catch by that lady for Costco!

My attempt at making Bakerella's Cupcake Pops

My sister-in-law, Amabelle, made these cute cupcake pops which she discovered from Bakerella's blog and on the Martha Stewart show. I decided to try to make them since I thought they were cute and yummy! I kind of modified my recipe for these because I used a cake mix that used a 8x8 pan instead of a 13x9 pan. So I basically kind of halved the cream cheese frosting that you add to the cake mix.

I thought they turned out well considering this was my first attempt. I think I rolled out the balls too big and I'm not sure I had enough of the cream cheese frosting when making them because they kind of fell apart at times, even when they were cooled. It probably didn't help that I didn't crumble the cake by itself first, I had added the cream cheese frosting too soon. Also, I couldn't find chocolate bark, so I used Baker's chocolate which was kind of hard to dip to see the crinkle grooves. I'm not sure what the difference is between chocolate bark and the baker's chocolate squares, but I'll try to find the chocolate bark and use it next time.

As you can see, I also didn't really follow the directions when shaping them. The tops don't look like the shape of a mound.


I kind of just pushed the crinkle cutter in and then out.
That will be something I will have to change the next time I make them.



All in all, I thought these were fun to make, just a little time consuming if you want to do them all in one day. Not bad for a first attempt and they sure tasted yummy! =)
